Last week there were multiple online reports that there would be sweeping changes to Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada.

According to multiple online reports, there will be sweeping changes to Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada broadcast panel next season with the likes of Ron MacLean, Kelly Hrudey.

Prior to the 2014-15 season, Hockey Night in Canada was split regionally on various CBC stations. As of the 2023-24 season, it is now split with CBC, Citytv, and selected Sportsnet channels.

Hometown Hockey was canceled ahead of the 2022-23 campaign after an eight-season run. After the show's cancellation last summer, MacLean sat down with The Athletic.
